There are a lot of videos about these LCFs on UA-cam and none of them show any of the topside facilities. I get that the capsule is the most interesting part of the thing. But I want to see the rest of it. I worked in one as security in the 80s at Whiteman AFB (351st Strategic Missile Wing) so I have a bit of nostalgia for it. I worked at Alpha, Bravo, Delta and Foxtrot flights from 86-90.

To those asking I copied most of his ideas and they worked wonderfully, except I used a green 10 foot flexilla hose (looks great) and was the perfect length to wrap around both side and mounted the quick fists with four 1'' carriage bolts from Home Depot (5/16th I think) same diameter as the include mounting bolts but shorter. I had to drill out the hole on the quick fist (MINI) to allow the bolt to fit. My original hose from the road shower cracked at the bend point and I was disappointed with the velcro and c clamp attachments so this was a wonderful upgrade to find. Thanks, very smart ideas.

does your filler cap still hold air ? mine eventually leaks and then I have to use pipe thread tape. :(

As someone who spends a lot of time in Wyoming and Montana, bear spray is not a good deterrent, and unreliable. The other "serious devices" is a better option.

A question - Do you still enjoy your wrangler rubicon, or do wish you would have purchase a gladiator rubicon? It's about length and storage issues.

You've got some good advice here. As someone who has been exploring alone for thirty years both hiking and off-roading I would add to let someone you trust know your plan before you go and stick to that plan or check in with them before you change your plans. I also believe in multiple forms of communication. I don't put my trust solely in my InReach, I also carry an old school satellite Personal Locator Beacon as a worse case back up.

Can't wait for more off road videos, love the west and those views.

As someone who has done many solo trips, I'd put a satellite communicator on the absolutely required list, TBH, and always keep it within reach. I'd also add some sort of defensive protection such as bear spray or "other devices" to the required list. Seriously.
